I have been going on the neighboring trails for the last month. Here are a few interesting pics I took. The close-ups were made using my new Sony macro 90 mm lens which my wife bought for my “super early” birthday.
The snake is a gopher snake, very common in our area.
The mushrooms I have no idea, perhaps Lana Ansay, you can help me with this.
The lizard I think is a common Great Basin Fence Lizard.

The ant and desert stink beetle scene made me think of David and Goliath.
